Bourbon County Stout Clone - All Grain

A dark, dense, black hole of beer with thick foam the color of a bourbon barrel. The nose is an intense mix of charred oak, chocolate, vanilla, caramel and smoke. One sip has more flavor than your average case of beer. Every year on Black Friday this beer appears on shelves only to quickly vanish until next year. This clone recipe will ensure you can keep this beer available year round! Want to mellow out the flavor? Age it in a carboy, bottles, or a keg!

Fermentation Temp: 65 - 69F

ABV: 13.8%

Your craft brew kit includes grains, hops, and a recipe instruction sheet. Priming sugar, irish moss, and any accessories are not included.

NOT INCLUDED: one small straining bag for oak chips.

TIP: we recommend using two packages (this kit comes with one) of yeast or making a starter for this brew because of the high gravity of the wort. Search for a yeast starter calculator online to find how large of a start you need for your batch.
